MobiHack – verbeter het verkeer in Heijendaal!

The municipality of Nijmegen and the province of Gelderland were looking for a solution for ‘the busiest hotspot in Gelderland: Heijendaal in Nijmegen’. That is why they have jointly sought a new means of answer: a hackathon, called ‘Mobihack’. On Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12, 2015, the first edition was at the Technovium on Heyendaalseweg 98.

The ‘first Mobihack in the Netherlands’ was a pressure cooker event, because it took only 24 hours to find those cost-effective solutions. Anyone who thinks practically or creatively could sign up. ‘Whether you are a scientist, designer, developer, citizen, civil servant or hacker. Especially when people with different profiles work together, cool opportunities arise. ‘ The Mobihack ended with short presentations of three minutes.

An official jury assessed all ideas and presentations and for the best idea a first prize of € 2,500 was available. Won by the Cortisol Solutions team, consisting of a team of Geo Media & Design students at HAS in Den Bosch. Team Ted became second and won an amount of € 1000, team Jingle Bells received the third prize of € 500.
