Our world is getting more digital. And everywhere around us we can find art and technology getting more close to each other or even merge. Just like AR options in public space as art. How can art be manifested in future public space? How will art evolve? How will technology evolve? What will the impact be on the experience of our surroundings?
Art & Science Salon is a public panel discussion between an artist and scientist accompanied by a moderator. For this edition, AR artist Tamiko Thiel and Associate Professor TU/e Mathias Funk will meet to talk about the topic Augmented Reality Art in Public Space. Our moderator for this event is Carmin Karasic, digital artist and teacher.
Tamiko Thiel is a visual artist exploring the interplay of place, space, the body and cultural identity. She works in a variety of media ranging from supercomputers to digital prints and videos to interactive 3d virtual reality worlds and augmented and mixed reality artworks and installations.
