Recharge Eindhoven is an intensive and creative hackathon organised by the Municipality of Eindhoven and MAD emergent art center at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, where participants on 3+4 October 2026 collaborate on innovative solutions. Entrepreneurs, engineers, inventors, hackers, architects, artists, and students; anyone with a sharp mind is invited.

How

During the hackathon, participants are challenged on the topic of grid congestion in the Eindhoven region. The focus is not only on technical solutions, but also on forms of collaboration, smart energy systems, behavioural change, and governance models that help Eindhoven become a resilient and sustainable city of the future.

Why

With this hackathon, we want to raise awareness about the topic and show how seriously we, as the Municipality of Eindhoven, are working on this problem. In addition, we encourage the region to look beyond traditional boundaries, challenge assumptions, and develop bold ideas for this complex and multifaceted issue.
